In some ways, you already know us pretty well. But here, we’re giving you a little extra peek behind the curtain about how we got started and why.
Hi! We’re Buck and April Beaudoin, the creators of Camden Famous.
We call Camden home, living here with our son Colin, a junior over at Camden Hills Regional High School. Our professional journey has led us to the creation of Omnitizing, a marketing and branding agency dedicated to empowering small businesses and their passionate leaders. But for us, it's not just business; it's about nurturing the community we hold dear, and Camden Famous is the culmination of that dream.
Our path to Camden Famous wasn't a straight line.
It has been a journey filled with twists and turns. In 2018, while we were residing on New Hampshire's Seacoast, we embarked on a project called Seaciety. Life got hectic, as it often does with three kids to look after, and Seaciety had to take a backseat. In 2022, we tried another iteration of our dream with a business partner, but it still didn't quite click. It was then that Camden Famous was born. They say the third time's the charm, and for us, it truly is.
We've been running Camden Famous for five exciting months now.
During this time, we've built a thriving community on Instagram, with over 2,500 followers - a wonderful mix of local business owners, fellow residents, and curious tourists. Our Instagram stories reach thousands each week, and we're currently working on an exciting new project - a coffee book! We've partnered with the talented photographer, Marina French, and are in discussions with a local copywriter to bring this vision to life.
The “Famous” brand is about more than just Camden.
To us, t's a philosophy that urges us to think big. As our nest empties, we've expanded our 'Famous' concept to six locations across Maine, New Hampshire, and Utah. We've had to start afresh multiple times in our adult lives, from Boston to New Hampshire's Seacoast, and now, here in beautiful Camden.
