Delvino’s Grill & Pasta House
When Tina DelSanto and Anthony Jacovino decided to open a restaurant back in June 2010, they chose a name as unique as their concept: Delvino's. A blend of their last names, DelSanto and Jacovino, the name also hints at their shared passion for wine.
Nestled on Belfast's bustling Main Street, Delvino’s offers a cozy dining experience with the capacity to seat about 75 guests. While they don't close for private events, the space is known for being accommodating, even managing large groups for occasions like rehearsal dinners.
Delvino's has carved out a niche with its signature dishes that keep patrons coming back. The Mushroom Sacchetti, a stuffed pasta that resembles a beggar’s purse, is particularly renowned not just for its unique shape but for the rich, labor-intensive mushroom cream sauce that envelops it. This dish, alongside their flourless chocolate cake, a recipe so popular it transitioned from Tina's bakery to the restaurant kitchen, anchors their menu.
Tuesday nights at Delvino’s are an event unto themselves with the "Two for Tuesday" special—an irresistible five-course meal for two that has become a local staple. But it's not all about tradition; their menu stays vibrant with daily specials that complement a steady list of favorites, ensuring that whether it’s 2015 or 2025, guests will find both familiarity and novelty on their plates.
The wine and cocktail lists at Delvino’s are thoughtfully curated, focusing primarily on small vineyard selections that are hard to find elsewhere, and a cocktail menu that changes seasonally to reflect current trends and tastes, including a zero-proof selection catering to non-drinkers.
Tina and Anthony's journey is rooted deeply in Belfast, a town they've seen transform and thrive. Their involvement in the community goes beyond the restaurant doors, reflecting a genuine desire to see their neighborhood flourish—a sentiment that extends to their future plans, which might just include a farm.
