Jordan Barnett-Parker of Jordan Adam Designs

Jordan Barnett-Parker is more than a jeweler—he’s a master goldsmith with a lifelong commitment to creating heirloom-quality pieces that bring a unique heft and timeless beauty. Jordan’s journey began at the age of 16 in Midcoast Maine, sparked by a high school art teacher named Siem Vander Ven. Under Siem’s mentorship at Camden Hills Regional High School, Jordan discovered his passion for metalsmithing, a spark that ignited into a remarkable career. Today, Jordan’s custom creations are infused with both artistry and craftsmanship, a result of his journey through some of the world’s top jewelry-making institutions.

For Jordan, jewelry is not just design—it’s legacy. Fortunate to have forged a close familial relationship with world renowned designer, sculptor and goldsmith Michael Good. It was this intense exposure to large scale sculpture and cutting-edge innovative designs that built a foundation allowing Jordan to break out of the “conventional” jewelry box. At Michael Good Designs Jordan was introduced to a German Master Goldsmith who was trained in Pforzheim, and he knew exactly where he needed to be!

His formal training took him to the Goldschmiedeschule Uhrmacherschule Pforzheim, located in Germany’s fabled Black Forest. The 250+ year institution is considered the “Harvard” of goldsmithing and watchmaking schools, where he honed his skills in the storied traditions of European jewelry. Jordan, to his knowledge, remains the only American to have graduated from this prestigious institution, an honor that underscores the rarity of his skill and commitment to his craft. “I had to learn German to get there,” Jordan recalls, “and they accepted only 12 out of 700 applicants—11 women and one guy. I was the guy.”

In addition to creating custom jewelry, Jordan also teaches and mentors others. He’s shared his knowledge at Dartmouth College, where he served as a resident artist for a year, and has instructed at institutions such as the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. With a career spanning over 25 years, he’s found that each piece he creates carries “a magic that goes from thought into being,” as he puts it. Jordan takes a hands-on approach to each design, often surprising clients with the weight and presence of his work—a testament to the high standards of his German training.
