Casey Everett + Hearth & Harrow

At Hearth and Harrow, Casey Everett has transformed her passion for art and sustainability into a delightful shopping experience. From her coastal Maine barn turned studio, Casey creates organic home goods and apparel with care and creativity. Inspired by the natural surroundings and her own needs for eco-friendly, stylish products, she taught herself screen printing ten years ago while completing her Master’s in Art Education.

Casey’s journey from drawing plants on a Massachusetts farm while pregnant with her second child to owning a thriving shop showcases her dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. Her products, celebrated for their low impact and handmade quality, reached global recognition during Covid, with over 400 boutiques worldwide featuring her designs.

In 2021, Casey’s dream expanded into the heart of Camden. She spotted the shop space on a Friday, and by Monday, she was holding the keys. “It’s my goal to make this shop a full experience,” she says. The store is a feast for the senses with carefully curated playlists and a welcoming atmosphere that guests often note for its pleasant aroma.

Casey attributes much of her success to her husband, Michael, who manages the screen printing studio, emphasizing that having “a fabulous partner” has been crucial. Together, they highlight local and New England makers, enriching their community connection.

Proud to be part of a vibrant business community dominated by strong, decisive women, Casey adds, “Maine chicks don’t mess around. We know what we want and we go after it.” Visit Hearth and Harrow for a unique blend of artistry, sustainability, and local love—a true gem on the Camden scene.
