Meet Tracy & Becky of FlatWear Clothing
Launching in Spring 2025, FlatWear Clothing is a passion project from Becky Johnson and Tracy Friden, designed to support women who choose flat closure after a mastectomy. After Becky’s own cancer diagnosis in 2019 and subsequent decision to go flat, she struggled to find clothes that fit. “Most women’s clothes are designed for curves,” she says. Finding nothing for women like herself was the spark for FlatWear.
Tracy, a designer, was moved by Becky’s story and the lack of options for flat women. “I just couldn’t believe no one had addressed this need,” she says. Together, they’ve created a collection based on extensive feedback from the flat community, offering core designs that adapt effortlessly to different styles and are available in inclusive sizes, from XS to 2XL.
To bring their line to life, FlatWear Clothing has launched a Kickstarter campaign, giving supporters a chance to back the first collection and help make flat-friendly fashion accessible. With a woman-owned, ethical production team in place, Becky and Tracy are ready to make FlatWear Clothing a reality.
Help FlatWear Clothing take off by supporting their Kickstarter. Every contribution goes toward making fashion inclusive for the flat community and empowering women to embrace their choice to go flat. Donate to their kickstarter campaign here.
