Salt Wharf
Salt Wharf is a picturesque harborside dining spot featuring a rooftop bar. It’s the perfect setting to unwind with friends while savoring delightful local cuisine and refreshing seasonal mixed drinks. They have an extensive drink menu, including exceptional mocktails like the Last Mango in Paradise Margarita and Nonnie's Punch (both pictured here).
Salt Wharf's menu changes with the seasons, showcasing the best of the area's produce and seafood. Thanks to their close collaboration with
local fishermen and farmers, they present a unique array of dishes that highlight the culinary expertise of Chef Chris Pierce.
After enjoying some oysters on the rooftop, we headed downstairs to explore the full dinner menu. Our feast commenced with the delectable Wagyu Steak Tartare. The attentive Front of House Manager and Sommelier, Steven Wickham, noticed we weren't drinking alcohol and thoughtfully brought over a zero-proof pinot noir to complement the Wagyu, which was incredible - perhaps our new favorite!
The culinary journey continued with a truly divine lobster-corn gazpacho with pork belly, making for an ideal summer course. To conclude on a sweet note, we indulged in the renowned Coconut Cake and the delightful Turtle Rock Farm Strawberry Shortcake, all expertly prepared by the talented pastry chef, Gina Grossi. She bakes everything served at Salt Wharf, the bread, desserts, and crackers. She also makes the ice cream, and all are made fresh daily.
In essence, if you seek a dining experience that goes beyond just a meal, Salt Wharf should be at the top of your list in Camden. Whether you opt for the laid-back rooftop or the refined ambiance downstairs, you're in for a treat. Plus, on Thursdays, they enhance the experience further with live music, adding an extra layer of richness to your visit.
